Planet Zoo 2 tools
Six tools that read the same animal records as the wiki pages. Each one ends with a next action, not a number to interpret.
The tools exist because the useful data is already published — it is just spread across 136 species records and a tier table. Each tool takes your state and returns the next check in order.
What each tool answers
| Tool | Question it answers | Data it reads |
|---|---|---|
| Accreditation planner | What is blocking my next tier, and what do I unlock? | Tier table + your star counts |
| Welfare debugger | What do I check first for this warning? | Species care record |
| Breeding to release | In what order do research, welfare, breeding and release happen? | Lifecycle record |
| Research explorer | What does this enclosure type depend on? | Enclosure type + habitat values |
| Franchise incident hub | Is this a known issue, and what is the official next step? | 1.0.4 / 1.0.5 notes |
| Reserve readiness | Is this animal ready to release? | Species record + your confirmed state |

Read guideHow the tools stay honest
- Same data as the pages — the animal records are the ones captured on 17 October 2026, so a tool result and a species page cannot disagree.
- Unknown is an output — where a value is not published, the tool says unknown instead of inventing a threshold.
- No competitor clone — these are not compatibility calculators; they answer progression and diagnosis questions using your own state.
FAQ
Common questions about this topic.
Do the tools need an account?
No. Everything runs locally in the page.
Are the tool results official?
No. They use published Zoopedia values and official patch notes; the interpretation is ours and the underlying pages are sourced.
Why is a value shown as unknown?
Because the game does not publish it. Guessing thresholds is how players lose a breeding programme.
