Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Mode
Franchise is the connected mode: shared animal market, storage, accreditation tiers and Wildlife Reserves. It is also the mode with the launch issues.
Frontier's 1.0.5 post (16 October 2026) is unusually direct about Franchise: stability, save integrity and Conservation Credit loss were listed as high-priority areas, alongside connectivity fixes and a rebalance of male and female animals entering the animal trading market.

Online state and known issues
As of 1.0.5 the official list of fixes covers: increased balance of male and female animals in the market, improved birth balance, an extended login window, more animals entering the market, and increased server capacity. Frontier also notes that using a VPN, particularly in Franchise Mode, can cause connectivity issues.

- Maintenance windows — Frontier announced planned maintenance on 15 October 2026 around 07:00 BST, with Franchise and the Workshop unavailable for about an hour.

Does Career progress help my Franchise accreditation?
No. Frontier confirmed the two are separate on 14 October 2026: Career uses medals, Franchise uses zoo reputation and reserve biodiversity.
What is in the animal market?
Animals bought with Conservation Credits; availability is gated by accreditation tier, and 1.0.5 rebalanced the male/female split and increased supply.
