Planet Zoo 2 update 1.0.5
The first post-launch weekend patch. Frontier's own framing: Franchise stability, crashes and performance, save integrity and Conservation Credit loss.
Released 16 October 2026. The official post lists five high-priority areas: Franchise Mode stability, crashes and performance, save stability and CC loss, quality-of-life features that had not deployed correctly (edge scrolling, exhibit quick sell/release), and erratic animal behaviour.
Franchise Mode and connectivity
- Increased the balance of male and female animals added to the animal trading market for cash.
- Improved the balance of male and female births in Franchise.
- Extended the login window to reduce server time-outs while connecting.
- Increased the volume of animals added to the animal trading market.
- Increased server capacity.
The post also notes two things worth keeping: a profanity filter can flag usernames containing a banned word and surface it as a server connection error, and using a VPN while playing — especially Franchise Mode — may cause connectivity issues.
